Kids’ First Steps – Where Children Are Always Welcome

Embracing the motto ‘Practice makes perfect’, we offer children a playful and enjoyable introduction to winter sports in our dedicated kids’ area. For those with more experience, we also provide advanced courses to further develop their skills. At Lachtal Ski Resort, we guarantee a fun and gentle start on the slopes, making it the ideal place for both their first skiing adventure and continued progress.

Special Program for Our Youngest Snow Enthusiasts:

Snow-Sigi Adventure Program

This program is especially for kids who are under 4 years of age and haven’t done any skiing yet.

If your little ones are eager to take their first steps in the snow, our Snow-Sigi Adventure Program is the perfect choice. In small groups of up to 2 children, our experienced ski instructors will guide them through their initial experience, making learning fun and engaging.

Duration:55 minutes (one session)

Group Courses for Our Beginners:

KIDS’ COURSES FROM AGE 4

For children aged 4 and up who have never skied before, we offer the perfect introduction to the winter sport. Our friendly and qualified kids' ski instructors will assist your child with putting on their ski gear and teach them the basics of braking and turning through fun and engaging exercises. With a bit of practice, your child will soon be able to use the rope, button, or even the chair lift. As an highlight of program an exciting final race with a celebratory awards ceremony will take place on the last day of the course.

Group Courses for Our Advanced Skiers:

FOR THOSE WHO CAN ALREADY MASTER THE PLOW OR RANK THEMSELVES AMONG THE BEST

For those who have already sharpened their skills and are skiing at an advanced level, we offer an extensive course program. Grouped by ability (assessment run), in this course your children will experience:

❄︎ Exciting forest runs
❄︎ Small jumps over ramps
❄︎ Enhancement of skiing techniques
❄︎ Education on safety, slope rules, nature handling, and alpine hazards
❄︎ Half-day or full-day courses
❄︎ An exhilarating final race with a festive awards ceremony at the end of the course (Note: During Christmas holidays, the race days may vary)

The grand final race...

The Highlight of the Course: Our Grand Final Race

No matter if your child was learning or already a skiing pro at the start of the week, the big final race at the end of the course is the perfect chance to show what they've learned! This exciting event is all about fun and celebrating the joy of skiing. Every child will receive a cool certificate, a shiny medal, and of course, plenty of applause and recognition for their great efforts!

The final race is included for courses of three days or more. Please note that during Christmas holidays, the race may take place on a different day or could potentially be canceled. One thing is for sure: every child will be honored with a medal and certificate!

Guest Race:

What about our race-enthusiast spectators?
For those who don’t just want to watch but actively join the fun, we offer a great opportunity: Participate in the grand final race in the guest category! Whether you didn’t attend the course, are a parent of a participant, or simply feel like joining in – we warmly welcome you!

Date: Usually Friday, together with the final race of the ski courses. Exceptions may occur during Christmas holidays.
Registration deadline: On race day, by 9:00 am at the ski school office
Entry fee: €10
Prizes: Certificate and medal
