General Terms and Conditions
Part 1 – Ski School
A – Snow Sigi – Ski School Offer
This offer was created for children from their 2nd to their 4th birthday. This age group is not yet accepted into ski course groups, as the children's stamina is usually not sufficient for the entire course duration per day, and a half-day course is not offered for beginners. In a "Snow Sigi Hour," a ski instructor looks after one to a maximum of two children and tries to teach them to ski through play.
Equipment is provided free of charge on the days that at least one Snow Sigi hour is booked and consumed. On all other days, the equipment must be paid for at the children's price up to 12 years.
B – Refund of Unused Lessons
We are not legally obliged to refund in cash the fee for services that were not used but were already bindingly booked and paid for. It is at our discretion whether, in which cases, and to what extent we refund the aforementioned services in cash or via voucher.
C – Booking Private Lessons and Cancellation Fees for Private Lessons
Private lessons must be booked by email at least 3 days before the desired lesson, especially in the low season, i.e., outside of Austrian school holiday periods. This booking must include the following data:
- Name of the student or their legal guardian
- Postal address of the student or legal guardian
- Telephone number of the adult student or the legal guardian for minor students.
Cancellation of Private Lessons
For cancellations of booked units up to 22 hours before the start of the lesson, no cancellation fee is charged. Cancellations must be made by phone or in person; cancellations via email will not be accepted as such.
In the event of a cancellation by the student after this 22-hour deadline before the start of the lesson, a cancellation fee of € 40.00 per cancelled unit will be charged.
In the event of a no-show or cancellation immediately before the start of the lesson, 100% of the costs must be paid.
Online bookings must be cancelled by email one week before the start date.
D – Minimum Number of Participants
A prerequisite for a course group at the corresponding course price is a minimum of 4 people of the same skill level. Should this minimum number of participants not be reached, we reserve the right, after consultation with the course participants or their legal guardians, to shorten the course time or charge a surcharge.
Switching to private lessons is an option available to participants at any time.
Part 2 – Rental
A – Legal Capacity of the Renter
To rent skis, ski boots, boards, etc., the renter must be at least 14 years old, i.e., have already celebrated their 14th birthday. Otherwise, parents or the legal guardian are liable for the rented equipment.
B – Identity of the Renter
The identity of the renter must be verified by a photo ID; otherwise, a deposit will be required or the rental will be refused.
C – Age Definition for Children and Adolescents
Prices for children's skis up to the age of 12 apply to children from 2 years old up to their 13th birthday. Prices for children up to the age of 17 apply to children from their 13th birthday up to their 18th birthday. Children who have already turned 18 are considered adults.
D – Special Ski Requests for Children and Adolescents
For special ski requests from the TOP or VIP class for children or adolescents under 18, the respective class price must be paid, not the child or adolescent price.
E – Set Prices
When renting skis, ski boots, and a helmet simultaneously for at least three days, the helmet is provided free of charge for children up to the age of 18 (i.e., until their 18th birthday). If the helmet was initially provided free of charge because the rental period was scheduled and paid for as longer than three days, but was later shortened to less than three days and the difference was refunded, the helmet will be charged.
F – Dual for Kids
This offer applies to children up to the age of 18 (i.e., until their 18th birthday).
When renting skis and ski boots as well as a board and boots simultaneously, for whatever reason, the second set is discounted by 50%.
If switching between a board set and a ski set, the boots will be charged for the duration of the rental and the ski boots will be charged anew. No extension or pro-rata calculation of the rental period can be granted for boots or ski boots. Such a switch can be used once. The second time, the set will be recalculated and charged.
G – Refund of Unused Services
We are not legally obliged to refund in cash the fee for services that were not used but were already bindingly booked and paid for. It is at our discretion whether, in which cases, and to what extent we refund the aforementioned services in cash or via voucher. If a medical certificate is presented confirming that the paid service (equipment rental) can no longer be used, the difference for the period between the medical certificate and the return date will be refunded in cash.
In the event that equipment is rented and returned only a short time later, for whatever reason, a minimum amount of "half a day of the respective rental category" will be charged or retained for this period, however short.
H – Return of Rental Equipment
The half-day price applies from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or from 12:00 PM – close of business.
The daily price applies until the close of business on the same day.
Equipment must be returned at least 10 minutes before closing. If this deadline is not met, a processing fee of € 10.00 may be charged.
I – Care of Rental Equipment
In principle, our rental equipment is not insured against willful damage. The renter must handle the rented equipment with care and must not ride skis or snowboards across roads, but must use the slopes instead. Off-piste, the running surfaces and edges of skis or snowboards can be damaged by rocks or outcrops that are not immediately visible. In the event of damage, the renter is personally liable. Depending on the damage, a TOP or VIP service fee will be charged, or, in the event of the equipment being destroyed, the current list price will be charged.
